Hiking — Wood-Rill Scientific & Natural Area off Luce Line, MN

Category: Hiking

Thu, 11:00amNov 252021
  • Max Trip Size: 8 people
Description:

Wood Rill is an area we discovered off the Luce Line bike trail in Wayzata this past summer on a Rover bike ride.  I’ve done a short hike on some of it, and know where to park, but would like to explore more of it.

It is a remnant of Minnesota’s Big Woods and was donated by Bruce Dayton and his wife to the state.

It has gentle wooded hills, a swamp and a pond.

There are about 5 + miles of hiking trails. The time estimate is a guess, depending on how much we want to hike.

Let me know if you want to join me and I’ll send you info about how to get there and parking.

Coordinator(s):
Melissa Brown
