Come join us for a fun ice skating experience, “Centennial Lakes Park features a 10-acre lake that is groomed daily during the winter for ice skating. Spread out over three main ponds connected by narrow, meandering canals, the rink gives skaters a unique skating experience.”
All skating abilities are welcome. Skate rentals are $10. If you bring your own skates, skating is free. You can also rent ice sleds. Concessions are available, such as hot chocolate.
We will meet in the warming house at 5 pm for introductions. The warming house is Hughes Pavilion, 7499 France Ave S, Edina, MN 55435. There is plenty of parking. You can get your rentals before or after we meet. People can skate on their own or in a group depending on how things work out and the various levels of skating ability. Stay as long as you like. The rink closes at 9:30 pm. If you arrive later, call me so we can connect. Or just look for the person skating awkwardly and crashing into things. The temperature forecast looks awesome for being outside on the ice!
