We’ll start at the Hwy 35 bridge landing at the Chippewa River and take out at Tim’s Slough. Meeting at Hwy 25 bridge landing at 10 AM Sunday. From Twin Cities it’s around 1 hour 40 minutes to put in.

Here’s general info about the area: https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/statenaturalareas/NelsonTrevinoBottoms this is a WI State Natural Area.
Weather forecast looks reasonable. NOAA says: Sunday A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 73. Southeast wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Bring lunch, etc. Terribly bad weather cancels and we’ll check on that Saturday again with those who RSVP. Expect to spend up to 5 hours total on the water, not all, but most of it paddling, with breaks, lunch. First time paddling here for trip organizer(s), so consider this an exploratory excursion not a guided paddle.
This trip is suitable for paddlers with efficient paddling and gear handling skills. PFD required and to be worn at all times while on the water. With the sloughs, recommend kayaks under 15′. Canoes can maneuver fine. Due to trip length and duration and to keep the group together, not suitable for paddle boards.
