Kayak the Mississippi on April 1st. No Joke!

Sun, 5:00amApr 12012
Description:

Come join me on and paddle the Mississippi backwaters. Can you believe the water temp is already 58 degrees, no April Fool’s joke! We will paddle around the lower island of Grey Cloud. Almost the whole trip will be in back channels. This means shallow water, little current and good bird sighting. There will be a working barge terminal, eagle nests, and an abandoned dock to lunch on. We will leave from the levy at 10:30 a.m. Carpool if possible, parking is limited. If you are coming and have an extra boat let me know and I will try and pair you up with a boatless paddler. Google map: Mississippi National River and Recreation Area, Cottage Grove, MN 55016.

Estimated cost: $0.
