Kekakabic Trail Through Hike

Tue - SunJul 27 - Aug 12010
  • Estimated Cost: $50
  • Deposit: $25
  • Max Trip Size: 4 people
Description:

We will gather Tuesday at the park and ride near Forest Lake at Scandia Trail and HWY 35 tto coordinate vehicles and car pool. We will then head to Tettegouche State Park and camp overnight there. Wednesday morning we split up in two groups. One group goes to the Gunflint Trail to start the East-West trek and the other group heads to Snowbank Lake to start the West-East trek. We meet in the middle at Strup Lake to trade keys. After each group finishes, we drive back to Tettegouche and head home. This is a strenuous trip on very rough terrain, so you need to be prepared. We will do from 8 to 10.5 miles per day. Estimated cost: $50. Deposit: $25. Max trip size: 4. (There is one opening left)
