- Max Trip Size: 15 people
Join me for a hike on Saturday, November 4th at Hyland Lake Park Reserve. We’ll leave from the Visitor Center at 10:00 a.m. for a hike of 1.5ish hours. Well-socialized dogs are allowed. Per Three Rivers policy, they must be on a 6-foot leash and are allowed on paved and turf trails. Bring your rain gear (we hike rain or shine), water, snacks. Plan on a modest speed of 2.5 – 3 miles per hour. Those who want can socialize for a little bit afterwards. There is a snack bar in the Visitor Center with hot beverages.
This park is near the intersection of Highway 100 and 494 in Bloomington. Get directions from Hyland Lake Park Reserve’s website. We’ll leave from the Visitor Center (10145 Bush Lake Road, Bloomington, MN 55438) at 10:00 a.m. (Don’t go to Richardson Nature Center or the ski chalet! We won’t be there!) 🙂
Dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. Bring water and a snack if you want.
Guests are welcome, so bring a friend! You do not need to be a member to come on day trips. But if you are not a current member, please submit the trip waiver at the bottom of this posting. (Thanks!)
Let me know if you’re coming so that I have a general idea of the size of the group and so I can let you know of last-minute items (like road construction). (Note: East Bush Lake Road was closed at Bush Lake Park in mid-October. If you are coming from the north, allow about 10 minutes extra for the detour. I’ll update this if I find out the road has been opened.)
