- Max Trip Size: 25 people
Celebrate National Public Lands Day with Rovers at Lost Valley Prairie SNA in Hastings. We will join the Lost Valley Prairie Site Stewards in searching for and removing invasive species and collecting native plant seeds from this relatively untouched bedrock prairie site. Fall is a beautiful time to be out on the prairie! Tools and instructions will be provided. Bring water, lunch, and dress for working in the weather. If you have your own gloves you’d like to use, please bring those as well. Footwear appropriate for outdoor work/hiking is recommended. There are no maintained trails or amenities at this wild and natural site.
You have two options to register for this free event:
- Sign up on the Minnesota Master Naturalist website, https://www.minnesotamasternaturalist.org/courses/ You will have to create a visitor account to register. If you go this route, you will get a FREE National Public Lands Day T-shirt AND a free National Parks day pass.
- Just email, call or text me in the normal Rovers manner, and I will let the DNR you’re coming. No T-shirt or day pass for you though. : )
