Who wants to visit 200+ animals at the Wildlife Research Center in Stacy, MN?
We can meander around the outdoor enclosures and observe several packs of wolves, wild cats, arctic foxes, and more! (Bears should be snug in their dens at the moment). The weather forecast is around 25F for the morning, so should be reasonably nice, even with some wind. Since it is all outside, please layer up, including head, ears, hands and feet. Don’t be shy to bring a warm drink, if that slides your sled.
I will be bringing them some in-kind donations such as freezer burned meat. Perfect time of the year to have a look at what is in the back of your freezer and is most likely just on the way to getting tossed. Dropping it off at the WSC for wolves, wild cats and other carnivores, would be a good way to make the most of it. Make space for all those healthy foods you will be eating going forward!
WSC also take many other in-kind donations, and I will be posting their needs-list below, so maybe there are things in your garage, kitchen, broom closet… that are just taking up space and would be put to good use at WSC. Again, perfect time of year to check what items don’t spark your joy, but might spark joy at the WSC https://www.wildlifesciencecenter.org/wishlist
If you are unable to join us, but would like to relay donations, please also get in touch and we will see how we can get that accomplished.
Otherwise, let’s meet at their building at 11.15am.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for children 4-17 years, and FREE for those younger.
