Join us at Whitewater State Park for a day hike. Picturesque limestone bluffs and deep ravines make Whitewater State Park a very popular southeastern MN park. The address is 19041 Hwy 74, Altura, MN 55910. We will meet at the Visitor Center parking lot at 10:00 a.m. Please arrive a few minutes early to use the restroom nearby so that we can start the hike promptly. Plan to hike at a moderate pace around Whitewater State Park, it’s about 6 miles long and it’s a lot of ups and downs on the trails so there are opportunities along the way for you to cut out early and head back to the Visitor Center. Bring your own bag lunch, snacks, and water so that we can stop for a rest along the way and enjoy a lunch while taking in the views. Non-Rover members should sign online liability waiver below.
This is one of 4 days during the year where there is no fee to enter the state park.
Please RSVP in advance by email if you plan to attend so that we can look out for you. Cell service is spotty.
