Paddle, Bike, Walk, and Socialize in South Minneapolis!

Thu, 5:00amJul 42013
Description:

Join fellow Rovers in a “Your Choice” July 4th! See below for all of the available fun options. Chris and I are coordinating a paddle down Minnehaha Creek. Meet at Gray’s Bay in Minnetonka at the canoe/kayak parking lot at 7:30 a.m. to float down Minnehaha Creek. Bring your own water craft. We will be using small river kayaks.

If you would prefer not to paddle you are invited to socialize in my backyard and my next door neighbor and fellow Rover Kathy Litt’s backyard any time after 1:00. Feel free to enjoy the neighborhood’s bike and walking paths with fellow Rovers as we live a 1/2 block from Minnehaha Creek and a 5 minute walk from Lake Nokomis. The creek paddlers will show up eventually.

Bring your bike or walking shoes and enjoy the neighborhood with a fellow Rover, or sit in our back yards enjoying the sunshine and shade. Chris Davis and Venke Hauge will also coordinate a late afternoon (4:30-5:00?) bike ride to Lillydale or Harriet Island and back. Approx. 20 miles on bike paths. Bring a cooler with your food, a chair and if you have one, a small folding table. Two gas grills will be available all day and into the evening. RSVP to Venke H. about paddling and RSVP to Kathy L. for address information.

Estimated cost: $0. Max trip size: N/A
