Paddle the Nakegon River

Fri - SunJun 7 - Jun 92013
  • Estimated Cost: $10
  • Max Trip Size: 8 people
Description:

I will be having some elective surgery that will keep me out of the boats for 6 weeks or more. I would like to propose a paddle/camp on the Namakagon River in Wisconsin for the first or second weekend in June. I will do two breakfasts and one dinner for all.You bring snack lunches. I’m new to Rovers but have done trip organization before.

I have listed two weekends. It will not matter to me which one. Namekagon River is in Wisconsin approx. 2.5-hour drive from the Twin Cities. Drive up Friday evening, camp at the landing. Saturday morning, shuttle cars, load gear in the kayak/canoe, and paddle down the river and camp Saturday night. I have done this trip several times. Water levels are up. Would be a trip anyone with basic gear can do.

Camping is free, trip costs will be for food and gas.

Estimated cost: $10 plus gas. Max trip size: 8 people, 3 tents.
