Paddling and Camping the Namekagon River

Fri - SunJul 23 - Jul 252010
  • Deposit: $15
Description:

The Namekagon River is a clear, spring-fed river that is part of the National Scenic Riverway maintained by the National Park System. Enjoy some of the clearest water around while swimming, paddling, floating, snorkeling, and just enjoying the cool water on a hot summer weekend. We will paddle the lower section below Trego, WI, approximately 20-25 miles, with camping on the river Saturday night. Both canoes and kayaks are welcome and will be available from the Rover cage for this trip. Beginners are welcome and two spots will be held until July 9 for newer Rovers who have joined within the past year. We will meet near Trego (place TBD) to camp Friday evening and start canoeing Saturday morning. Meals will be group meals and the cost split among the group. Deposit: $15. Max trip size: 8.
