Paddling the BWCAW

Wed - SunSep 10 - Sep 142014
  • Estimated Cost: $150
  • Max Trip Size: 6 people
Description:

Fall is a great time to experience the BWCAW! We will enter at entry point 50 on the east side via the Gunflint Trail. We will canoe / portage 4 lakes on the way to base camp at Long Island Lake. From there we will day trip to area lakes. The portages are easier as BWCAS portages go. You need to be in good physical condition, and able to carry 50-60 Lbs. The lakes are easily navigable, and smaller. You do not need to be an experienced canoeist to complete this trip. We can meet & work out details, as well as doing some paddle practice prior to the trip.

Estimated cost: $150 – $200. Deposit: $0. Max trip size: 6 + 2 coordinators.
