Description:

Self-supported bike tour on the Mississippi River Trail from Lake Itasca to St Paul, generally along paved back roads. Cycling 400 miles in a week we’ll average close to 60 miles a day on fully loaded bikes. Not for beginners. We’ll spend the first night at the Headwaters Hostel and camp out the rest of the trip. Some of us may take Amtrak to Fargo on Thursday night (Aug 7) and bike 115 miles to Itasca State Park in one or two days.

Estimated cost: $200. Deposit: $20. Max trip size: 6.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
