- Max Trip Size: 12 people
If you’re in town (and not on some fun summer weekend outing), join me for a hike this Sunday! (The forecast is for low/mid 80s and low chances of precipitation.) Meet in front of the French Park Visitors Center at 1:00 and plan to hike the trails at Clifton E. French Regional Park. >. In case there are a lot of people there: I’ll try to wear a piece of Rovers gear, and I’ll probably have a small, blue REI daypack with me.
We’ll hike for maybe 1.5 hours at a moderate pace on the Skyline, Medicine, and Meadow Trails. Maybe 4.5 miles? (I really do need to track the lengths of these trails, so I know the distances!) If our group is large or some folks want to hike faster/longer, we can break into two groups. Bring water, a snack, bug spray and sunscreen, and dress for the weather. We’ll socialize for a bit after the hike at picnic tables with our snacks. (You can also buy snacks and beverages at the Visitor Center.)
Option for after the hike: Rent a kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard and get out on Medicine Lake!
French Park is located in Plymouth near 494 and Rockford Road.
Send me a text or an email or call me and let me know that you’re coming, so I can know to look for you. Also, if you are not a current MN Rovers member, please submit the liability waiver.
