Join me in helping Three Rivers Park District collect prairie seeds at Murphy Hanrehan Park. It’s easy to do and our help is greatly appreciated. From the road, a prairie looks like a field of weeds, but when you are “IN” the prairie you will discover many different flowers and plants.
From the Three Rivers Park District web site: Help restore the prairie by collecting native wildflower seed. Volunteers increase the amount and diversity of seed planted annually in over 1,200 acres of restored prairie managed by Three Rivers. Learn about the prairie’s rich history and how to identify many of the plants. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.
I need an approximate number of people by Monday, October 10th and a final head count that Thursday. Remember to call the hotline mentioned in the Info packet in case of wet conditions/bad weather, we will have to cancel. 763.694.7849

If the mowed area inside the red gate is full you can park in the parking lot at the Murphy Lake access and walk down to the meeting area.
