Description:

Leave early on the 18th driving to Atikokan, Ontario. Using an outfitter for two canoes and a tow, we’ll enter via Nym Lake that day. Traveling West through Pickeral Narrows then south to Sturgeon, we’ll explore an interior area with a number of waterfalls. There will be layover days in the waterfall area. Three portages in and three out are planned, plus portages on day trips. Exiting via Stanton Bay, we’ll return to Mpls late on the 25th. Crossing the border at Int’l Falls requires a passport. You are responsible for your own food. Cost estimate is for camping permits and outfitting only. Food and transportation extra. Call for further details.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
