Looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day in the park!! This hike was foiled last week due to a hunt. This week, I have confirmed there will be no hunt! Please join me for a hike on one or two loop trails in Carver Park Reserve near Victoria, MN! We will encounter forests, prairies, and lakes. All paces are welcome on the first loop (3-4 miles), which ends back at our cars. For those interested in continuing on the second loop (for a total of 6-8 miles), please plan to hike at a medium-fast pace*. I hope everyone who wanted to do this hike last week can come back and really do it this week! And others are welcome, too!
Road Closure Alert/ Starting Point
Part of Highway 11 is under construction, so you will need to access Hwy 11 to get to the starting point via Hwy 7, not Hwy 5. Using Google Maps should work fine. This is the Starting Point
Bring water and snacks, as desired. Dress according to the weather. A limited number of well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please contact me if you plan to bring a dog so we don’t end up with too many.
Non-Rovers are welcome! Please submit the online liability waiver below.
Everyone, please send me an email or text to sign up so I know to expect you.
*My definition of a medium-fast hike is 17-19 minutes per mile, 3.2-3.5 mph. This is the moving speed.
