Reservoir Woods Hike

Wed, 5:00amJun 292011
  • Max Trip Size: 15 people
Description:

Hike start time 7:00 p.m. from the parking lot of Lake McCarrons County Park, 1765 Rice St, Roseville, MN. Hike will proceed along the South side of the lake (home to a pair of Trumpeter Swans) and onto the Reservoir Woods. Besides one the best stands of mature Red pines in the cities, it’s the one and only place to see the largest Butternut tree in all of Minnesota! Who knew? There’s a Dairy Queen a block away from the hike start/finish so bring some dollars for your Dilly bar if you’d care to purchase a post hike treat. Dogs are allowed, but must be on a leash. Estimated cost: ice cream money. Deposit: 0. Max trip size: 15. |video|
