Rock Climbing on the North Shore

Fri - SunJun 21 - Jun 232013
  • Estimated Cost: $20
Description:

Join us for climbing along the North Shore in Minnesota. We will spend at least one day climbing at Palisades Head over Lake Superior. Based on interest, we may also climb at a different climbing area, including Shovel Point, Carlton Peak, or Mystical Mountain Zone. We’ll camp Finland campground about 3 miles west of Hwy 61 on Hwy 1, and will probably reserve the group campsite. Each climber/group is responsible for their own meals, climbing gear, and safety. We can try to coordinate some carpooling and meal sharing as appropriate. Those planning on going should know how to belay, and preferably should also know how to top-belay. Beginners (those who don’t know how to belay or need harness, helmet, or shoes) may be welcome on a case-by-case basis by contacting Sarah.

Estimated cost: $20 (gas and food). Deposit: 0. Max trip size: Unlimited.
