Do you have a background in the sciences and have lots of information you would like to share about the natural world with your fellow Rovers? Every wish you knew more about the incredible natural world that provides the setting for all your fantastic Rovers trips? Do you secretly (or not so secretly) tote your field guides along with you on trips? This trip is for you!

Camping at cart-in sites at Glendalough State Park in western central MN. The park contains 1,931 land acres and ~1,000 acres of water through it 6 lakes and wetlands. The park has erse landscapes including prairie, marshland, lakes, and wooded areas. Due to the natural beauty of the park Eisenhower, Nixon, and Mondale used the park for their retreats before the state took over the park. We’ll be paddling the Ottertail River, exploring some of the 6 lakes in the park, and hiking.

Estimated cost: $25 + food and gas. Deposit: $50. Max trip size: 12.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
