We drive up Thursday night after work on July 11th to the Silver Creek trailhead on the SHT dropping a car off on the way at Martin Rd in Duluth. The next morning, we start hiking southbound for three days to Martin Rd in Duluth. This is a very strenuous three days. You need to be in good shape and go ultralight.
Thursday, July 11th – Hike 1 mile into Silver Creek Campsite
Friday, July 12th – 15.5 miles to McCarthy Creek Campsite
Saturday, July 13th – 18.4 miles to Heron Pond Campsite
Sunday, July 14th – 15.1 miles to Martin Rd
You are responsible for all food and gear. Carpooling will be arranged before the trip.
