Description:

Ski and snowshoe at Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, five hours from the Twin Cities. We’ll stay at the 1945 stone-and-log park lodge on Lake Superior and ski on 87 miles of trails. On Saturday, we’ll go on a naturalist-guided snowshoe trek that starts with a chair lift ride up the ski hill (42 downhill runs) and ski on a one-mile lantern-lit loop in the evening. Dinners and breakfasts are provided; bring your own lunches. Bedding is provided. A Michigan state-park vehicle pass is required, $8.40 daily and $30.50 annual. |more|

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
