Ski and Snowshoe at Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula- 5.5 hours from the Twin Cities.

We will be staying at the Kuag Wudjoo Lodge- a 1945 stone and log park lodge on Lake Superior.
The ski trails are beautiful, but are geared toward intermediate skiers rather than beginners.
There will be a naturalist guided snowshoe trek on Saturday and a lantern-lit ski trail that evening.
Downhill skiing/snowboarding at the ski hill is also an option.

Meals will be a group effort. Plan on preparing one meal.
Bedding is provided.

A Michigan state park vehicle pass is required- $31 annual (paid as a group expense for cars with 3 or more passengers).

Estimated cost: $140 (not including gas)
Deposit: $75 (non-refundable)
Max trip size: 12

Note:
2 spots will be held for new members (less than one year)
4 spots will be held for couples (or those willing to share a double bed)
Offer to plan and prepare a meal, and/or drive with 2 other passengers (in a snow worthy vehicle) and you jump to the top of the list 🙂
And, of course, I can add you to the wait list if you don’t fit into one of these categories.

-Darcy Amnuel 🙂
