- Max Trip Size: 12 people
Come join us for a 2-3 mile hike in Minnehaha Park in South Minneapolis this Friday afternoon at 1 pm. Trail conditions will determine our route. We could go down into the creek valley, which may be slippery and sloppy with the current melting trend. The other more likely option will be to stay on the cleared paved walks and cross the bridge to the Veterans Homes area with a nice view of the river. A conservative guess of trip duration would be around 1.5 hours. We will meet by the overlook of Minnehaha Falls where we can admire its 53 foot drop. Please be prompt so we don’t have to wait in the cold too long.
The park address is 4801 S Minnehaha Drive, Mpls, MN 55417. It has paid lots but there should be plenty of free parking in the surrounding neighborhoods.
Temps this week are forecasted to be warmer so there will no way to get away from sloppy trail conditions. Please wear your waterproof footwear and bring your ice cleats in case you need to throw them on.
Please send an RSVP email to me at [email protected] if you plan to join us so we can watch for you.
Non Rovers are welcome to join us if they sign the online waiver below.
