Snowshoe / Identify Oriental Bittersweet at Elm Creek Park

Sun, 6:00amMar 92014
Description:

We have been given an opportunity to join Three Rivers Park District volunteers as they try to get a last-minute group of people to snowshoe out into the Elm Creek park and help identify the Oriental Bittersweet.

I will be there and hopefully other Rovers will make it as well. Here are the details as I know them today:

  • The group will be meeting at Eastman Nature Center in Elm Creek Park on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. and will look at wrapping up around 3:30 p.m.
  • We will need to bring our own snowshoes and/or binoculars (there is a limited number of snowshoes available at the center). I have spoken with Rob about getting some snowshoes from the cage if need be, I would just need to know how many of what kind to get from him.

Please let me know ASAP if you are able to show up and if so what size of snowshoe needed, if at all. And I will plan on having Beer Koozies with the Rovers logo on them and a soft drink to put in the Koozie.

Estimated cost: $0. Max trip size: N/A.

Sponsoring organization: Three Rivers Park District
