Category: Hiking, Bicycling, Summer Trips, Camping, Paddling

Fri - SunJun 19 - Jun 212015
  • Estimated Cost: $30
  • Deposit: $10
  • Max Trip Size: 20 people
Description:

Summer solstice has the longest days of the year, so what better way to spend 16 hours of daylight than on the North Shore of Lake Superior? A little over 4 hours from the Twin Cities, the Cascade River State Park group camp offers a basecamp for your own hiking, biking and kayaking adventures and exploring the North Shore. Meals are on your own with a pot-luck dinner on Saturday night. Come up on Friday because Saturday traffic between Duluth and Two Harbors will be heavy due to Grandma’s Marathon. You’ll have plenty of time because the sun doesn’t set until after 9:00 p.m.! 5 spots will be held for new Rovers (joined in 2015) until June 13. You must be a current member to sign up for this trip. Deposit (non-refundable): $10.
