Springtime at the Arboretum

Sat, 5:00amMay 142011
Description:

What could be more beautiful than spring at the MN Landscape Arboretum? In addition to admiring the gardens, we can check out the grounds by walking Three Mile Drive and the trails.

We will carpool and leave at 9:30 a.m. sharp from Stacey’s house in Edina. (Directions and address will be sent to those who RSVP.) Our general schedule will be to explore the gardens and trails of the Arboretum in the morning and then have lunch. (Bring a lunch or plan to buy one from the Arboretum’s cafeteria.) After lunch, we can either explore the Arboretum more or check out nearby Carver Park Reserve. (Note: The Arboretum’s Spring Plant Sale will be happening that weekend, so it will be busier than usual.)

Plan to be back in Edina between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Bring water, lunch, snacks. Wear shoes suitable for hiking in and, if necessary, raingear. Sorry, dogs not allowed. Estimated cost: Money for lunch and beverages, small amt for gas, gift shop purchases. Deposit: 0. Max trip size:8.
