This will be a combined event with MCA. It is happening in conjunction with a celebration at William O’Brien State Park. The party is a commemoration of a gift of an additional 91 acres to the park. Paddlers will meet at William O’Brien State Park at 9:00 a.m. at the boat landing. Because this event involves several groups with varying policies, people will be asked to sign waivers of liability if they participate. We will also have a brief discussion of safety issues and procedures before the paddle starts.
Two paddle options (sloughs/backwaters and river from Osceola to William O’Brien) and a party afterward. Full details including guidelines and safety considerations can be found on the Rovers e-group.
