St. Paul Spring Parks Cleanup

Sat, 5:00amApr 132013
Description:

The Rovers will again help The Friends of Henry Park with buckthorn removal, a project we’ve been involved with for several years now. Work will likely include moving and stacking pre-cut buckthorn, with breaks for * donuts. * It’s always a lot of fun, and the Friends really appreciate our efforts. Last year, we got to admire some spring ephemerals in bloom and there was plenty of fresh young edible garlic mustard available for the picking.

We will meet at Henry Park in St. Paul at 8:30 a.m. Wear your work clothes, and bring protective eyewear/sunglasses and work gloves. If you forget, there are always supplies available. Henry Park is located between Skyway Drive and Ogden Street in St. Paul, Minnesota. Currently, the best access is from 2120 Skyway Drive (just south of Battle Creek Regional Park on the Mississippi River bluff.) Please e-mail Annie to sign up.
