- Max Trip Size: 15 people
Join me for a hike to unwind from the week while we appreciate Hyland Lake Park Reserve’s forests and prairie on a summer evening! (We’ll come back in the fall to see what the prairie looks like then, too.) We’ll leave from the Visitor Center at 7:00 p.m. for a hike of 1.5 to 2 hours. Well-socialized dogs are allowed. Per Three Rivers policy, they must be on a 6-foot leash and are allowed on paved and turf trails. Bring your rain gear (we hike rain or shine), bug spray, and a headlamp (just in case it gets dark). Plan on a modest speed of 2.5 – 3 miles per hour. Membership is not necessary for day trips. Guests are welcome, so bring a friend! Non-members should submit the liability waiver at the bottom of this trip description.
We’ll leave from the Visitor Center (10145 Bush Lake Road, Bloomington, MN 55438) at 7:00 p.m. (Don’t go to Richardson Nature Center! That’s a different place.) This park is near the intersection of Highway 100 and 494 in Bloomington. Get directions from Hyland Lake Park Reserve’s website.
