Wait List Trip for Backpacking Superior Hiking Trail

Thu - SunSep 12 - Sep 152013
  • Estimated Cost: $35
  • Max Trip Size: 8 people
Description:

Since Frank T’s backpacking trip was so popular (please see below), we are taking the wait list and making a trip out of that for backpacking the Superior Hiking Trail. Currently we have 4 people, looking for 1-4 more. We are looking at tentatively leaving Thursday! Similar expectations apply to this trip. We would like people to be comfortable walking 5-10 miles a day with a full pack (approximately 35-50 lbs). If you can jog 5 miles or bike 30 miles easily, you should be just fine. Leave Thursday morning or mid-day (tentative), camp that night, and start hiking Friday morning. Saturday hike. Do a short hike Sunday and then head home after a shower. Tentatively looking at a trip around Gooseberry / Split Rock / Tettegouche / Beaver / Silver Bay area. Tentatively planning on bringing your own food

Estimated cost: $35-$55. Max trip size: 8.
