Walk Along Nine Mile Creek, in Bloomington

Wed, 5:00amJul 232014
Description:

We’ll meet at Harrison Park, in Bloomington, for an easy walk along Nine Mile Creek. Begin walking at 7:00p.m., and walk for about 1.5 hours. Exit I-35W at 98th St, and head west. After only a short distance, bear left onto Old Shakopee Rd. Turn left at W 100th St. Harrison Park will be on your right (at 1701 W 100th St, 55431).

Half of the route is asphalt, half crushed-rock. Mosquitoes likely. Only dangerous weather would cause a cancellation. If you RSVP with your mobile number, I’ll send a text in the unlikely event of a cancellation.

We’ll be doing a simple out-and-back route, staying on the maintained trail closest to the creek. Any late-comers are welcome to meet the group along the trail. This will be a one-size-fits-all hike. A set of stairs (100+ steps) adjacent to the trail will provide more exercise for those who want that. Large-wheel strollers are fine.

Rover membership is not required for day hikes. No fee required to enter park.

Estimated cost: $0. Max trip size: no limit.
