Description:

Weeknight Workshop: Intro to Bike Touring

Bike touring allows you to explore slow roads, bike trails, and campgrounds that could be nearby, in different states, or different countries. Unfortunately, getting started usually involves buying expensive panniers/saddlebags and figuring out the details out on your own. This workshop will show people how to get started with bike touring using panniers made from kitty-litter buckets, which are low-cost and fun. Anyone attending this workshop can apply skills covered in an upcoming bike weekend, described below. The workshop will be led by two Rovers: 1) David Byrne who has cycled around the world twice and 2) Steven Malikowski who recently cycled across the US.

Coordinator(s):
Steven M.
