The BRTA has teamed up with Active Source training to offer Red Cross CPR/AED and Basic Wilderness First Aid Certification good for two years. Note that CPR/AED is optional, however, current certification is required for WFA attendance. Active Source is a local training provider for the Northern Star Council of the Boy Scouts. They have been providing training for scouts and scoutmasters over the last 8 years. The training includes classroom instruction as well as hands-on scenarios to reinforce and practice your skills. CPR / AED runs from 8:30 AM to 12:00 Noon on Saturday. WFA runs from 1:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Location: Immanuel Lutheran Church 16515 Luther Way, Eden Prairie, MN 55346

Minnesota Rovers offers members an education discount of $40 for Wilderness First Aid training. Because funds are limited, prior approval is required. Registration and additional information is available on the Active Source website.

Estimated cost: $40 for CPR/AED, $70 for WFA ($110 combined).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
