Description:

Wilderness First Aid Class 8:30 to 5 Saturday and Sunday Nov 11.
Instructor: Tom O’Neal. Tom has a wealth of experience as a First Responder and WFA instructor for Boy Scouts and various outdoor groups. He does ski patrol and bike patrol at a wide range of events.Saturday TBA, Sunday Lunds/Byerlys Community Room, Edina, 50th and France
Class will cover how to manage medical situations that arise more than an hour from assistance, particularly in wilderness situations. It will address assessment, decision making, record keeping, and first aid treatment of various medical situations that may occur in outdoor venues far from assistance. It will be very hands on, may have portions that occur outside so be prepared for weather conditions.

Saturday TBA, Sunday Lunds/Byerlys Community Room, Edina, 50th and France
Final cost will be determined based on whether or not we need to rent a site for Saturday, but should not exceed $150.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
