Winter Camping — Tuscarora Loop

Fri - MonJan 10 - Jan 132014
  • Estimated Cost: $60
  • Max Trip Size: 4 people
Description:

We will meet very early in the morning at Gander Mountain in Forest Lake on Friday to gather our gear together in one car. We will then drive to the trailhead at the Missing Link Lake entry point #51. We will then pull our gear into Round Lake and camp on Missing Link Lake on the first night. The next day we proceed to Tuscarora Lake and camp on Crooked Lake. The third day, we proceed to Brant Lake past Gillis, Bat, Green Lake, and Flying Lake. Lastly we go past Edith Lake to West Round Lake and then back to Round Lake for a nice loop. You should have previous winter camping experience before attempting this trip. I will be pulling my gear on a sled, but you could backpack it if you want a challenge.

Estimated cost: $60. Max trip size: 4.
