Let’s do some Winter hiking on the trails in the eastern portion of Lebanon Hills Regional Park, while we’re still not tempted to cross country ski there instead. We’ll meet at the very end of the parking lot at Schultz Lake across from the Visitor Center, which is located on the drive off Cliff Road, just west of Dodd Road. The plan is to do about 4 miles of hiking primarily off ski trails (and totally off of them if there’s any chance they’ll be damaged for the cross country skiing which could be underway by the weekend.) The route will be hillier compared to hikes starting from the other trailheads, and shoe traction systems may be recommended. (I’ll check the route Thursday, and if the trails are just too treacherous, I’ll let everyone know the hike is Off.)
Especially if you’ve never hiked at Lebanon Hills Regional Park, I encourage you to do (at least) one of the Rover hikes there Friday.
