Let’s meet up to hike Ritter Farm Park, a City of Lakeville Park with nice rolling hills and a mix of wooded upland forest, some lake views and the remains of an apple orchard. Following the hike(optional), join us at a nearby restaurant for coffee/brunch/lunch.
- Expect to hike at a moderate pace (~19-20 minute mile) for 1 ½ – 2 hours over an estimated 4.5-5 miles.
- *Grippers/traction devices on your boots and/or poles are recommended for ice and compressed snow that is common on the trails this time of year.*
- Bathrooms: There is a portable toilet at the trailhead, no potable water.
- Parking is free!
- Well-behaved on leash dogs are welcome on this hike.
Where to meet: Ritter Farm Park, 19300 Ritter Park Trail, Lakeville, MN 55044
The park is to the southwest of 35W and 185th St W/Hwy 60: East on 185th St W, then South(right) on Kenrick Ave, then west(right) on 195th St W., then right on Ritter Park Trail.
Drive to the parking lot at the end of the road just past the old silo. We will meet up at the trailhead signs.
