Fri - MonDec 21 - Dec 242018
  • Estimated Cost: $100

  • Max Trip Size: 4 people
Description:
I decided to rent the East Yurt in the Porcupine Mountains State Park in the UP of MI from Dec 21st to Dec 24th, back for Christmas Eve activities.
It is a rustic 4 single bed yurt that is a short hike in from the parking lot.  The yurt is overlooking the lake, is heated by a wood burning stove and has no electricity or running water.  There is x-country skiing, downhill skiing, snowshoeing and hiking to be had in this beautiful park along with many waterfalls to explore.
Currently it is just me going, but wanted to extend the invitation to any Rovers that want to relax in the wilderness before the holidays.  Anyone interested must be familiar with rustic yurt life, able to contribute to meals and planning and want to explore this wonderful park!  Extra points if you have a big vehicle and want to drive!  It is a 5 hour drive!
3 spots open!
