Since the trails were closed last month due to wet conditions we are going to try to ride this trail this month. If it is closed again our backup will be Murphy Hanrahan. The Theodore Wirth trail is for all skill levels and is 4.36 total miles and consists of two loops.
Each month the trails will increase in length, aerobic level, and technical level as well. Trails will be picked from the MORC website and within the twin cities area. So if you want to experience the thrill of tight, sharp turns, steep climbs with rocks and roots; fast descents; an occasional technical feature to test your skills then come out and join us. Mountain bikes are recommended for these trails and helmets are required.
Meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Golf Course parking lot just past the Chalet at the back of the parking lot. I will be in a bright red Ford F-150 pickup. Bring energy snacks, water, bug spray, and appropriate clothing for the weather. For the Theodore Wirth directions see the link provided on the MORC website. You do not have to be a Rover member for these rides. E-mail to let us know you are planning to come.
