Beginner winter camping at Frontenac State Park 10 miles south of Red Wing. This trip is intended to introduce new campers to winter camping in the regular park campground with their vehicle nearby which allows them to bring extra clothing/camping gear, enabling them to spend their first winter night out comfortably. Participants can walk, snowshoe or ski park trails depending on conditions. I can help you with your clothing/camping questions, Rovers have some camping equipment you can check out. We will have a group supper and Dutch oven desert, participants will bring their own lunches and breakfast. Experienced winters campers are welcome to attend also. Joint outing with the Northstar Sierra Club. Call for additional details.
