- Max Trip Size: 25 people
We got rained out this past weekend so we have rescheduled. Our club has been asked be in a Train the trainer video on how to do a buckthorn pull and search for early invasive species detection. We do the work and Audrey, from the U of Mn will film us doing the work.
Meet at Highpointe Park at 4 pm. The address is: 10200 Goose Lake Parkway, Champlin, MN
We will look for hawkweed off the woodlot, an emerging invasive, for an hour thereabouts then pull, cut with loppers or saw, and treat buckthorn as necessary for the remainder of the time. People can leave early as needed. Let me know of you can come! Wear long pants, long sleeves, cap, and leather gloves ideally. If you don’t have leather gloves, I will have some cloth ones you can borrow.
Bring water, mosquito repellent, sunscreen and your own loppers or pruners if you have them. I will have extra loppers and saws. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or torn.
