Take a break this Saturday and join me for a quick hike around Lake of the Isles in Minneapolis with its stately homes, wooded islands, and long north arm. We’ll meet at 5:30 on the west edge of the lake in the park off West Lake of the Isles Parkway between Newton Avenue and Penn Avenue (across from 2340 W. Lake of the Isles Parkway) for a hike of about an hour (just under 3 miles). We’ll finish the hike around 6:30. Then, if you’re so inclined, stay for an outdoor production of Romeo and Juliet. If you just hike, bring water and bug repellent and dress for the weather.
If you stay for the play, bring a chair or blanket, a snack or picnic, and water/beverage. There is no charge for the play, but if you throw money in the hat, they’ll really appreciate it! (Note: I saw the play on 6/30, and they did a GREAT job of bringing it to life!) P.S. I’ll try to look Rover-ish, so it’s easy to find me! P.P.S. Only cost is for donation for the play.
