Description:

Raise your hand if you’ve always wanted to go to Door County WI, because now is your chance!  A group camp site is reserved for four nights, and that won’t be near enough time to explore everything there is to do.

We’ll be car camping at Peninsula State Park, so bring all your toys (road bikes, mountain bikes, kayaks, canoes).  A few of the fun things to do include taking our bikes on a ferry over to Washington Island, hiking in the numerous state parks, kayaking over shipwrecks, or going to a fish boil.  Activity researchers/coordinators would be much appreciated!

It’s about a six hour drive, so carpooling is highly recommended.  Breakfast and lunch will be on your own.  Dinners will be group pot luck or going out to eat.  Bring your own snacks, beverages, plates/utensils, chair and camping gear. You can borrow tents and sleeping bags from the gear locker, but you need to make advance arrangements with an Equipment Director to reserve, pick-up and return items (contact [email protected]).

Check in is at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, and check out is by 3:00 p.m. on Monday.  More details will be available on a shared Google doc, plus we’ll have one (or two?) informational meetings in May after a Tuesday Rovers meeting.

Estimated cost is $15 (excluding transportation, a WI state park sticker, and restaurant meals). $15 deposit and current membership secures your spot.  Refunds given only if your spot is able to be refilled.
