Backpacking — Eagle Mountain and Brule Lake Trail, MN

Category: Hiking

Fri - SunAug 2 - Aug 42019
  • Estimated Cost: $40
  • Deposit: $17
  • Max Trip Size: 9 people
Description:

Please adjust the description for my trip as below…

We will leave early on Friday morning of August 2nd from the parking lot of Gander Outdoors in Forest Lake, drive to Brule Lake and leave a car at the end of the trail. Then we drive to the Eagle Mountain trailhead. We hike in three miles to the base of Eagle Mountain to a campsite on whale Lake. On Saturday we hike to the summit of Eagle Mountain and then continue on to Fishhook Lake on the Brule Lake Trail. We spend the night at fish Hook Lake and then hike out on Sunday. You will need to be in fairly good shape for this trip because there is some up and down.

I have registered this trip with Backpacking magazine as a National Summit Day trip which is August 3. We will get a flag to plant at the summit.

Coordinator(s):
