- Max Trip Size: 15 people
Start your Saturday with a brisk urban hike around Lake Harriet (2.75 miles)! We’ll chat, look for early spring birds and flowers, and keep an eye out for the Lake Harriet Elf’s house! Depending on time and interest, you may also want to walk around the Rose Garden, Perennial Garden, the Peace Garden, or the Roberts Bird Sanctuary afterwards.
We’ll meet at the intersection of Roseway Road and Lake Harriet Parkway (4199 Roseway Road, Minneapolis, MN 55409, across Lake Harriet Parkway from the Lyndale Park Rose Garden) at 9:30 a.m. We’ll plan to hike for about 1.5 hours at a moderate pace (3 mph?), and maybe do about 3ish miles. Bring your favorite beverage (coffee or hot chocolate in that thermos?) and a snack, if you want. Be sure to dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear.
Accessible by public transportation. Bus routes run nearby. Route 4 is closest. Route 6 and 46 stop about 1 mile away.
