Hiking, Potluck, and Music

Sat, 6:00amNov 172012
  • Max Trip Size: 20 people
Description:

Join me at my house in Northfield for a hike, potluck and MUSIC. Here’s what I have in mind:

3:00 p.m. Meet at my house

3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Urban hike in Northfield – from my house to Cannon River to downtown Northfield, then to the edge of Carleton College Campus, and then back to my house. Approximately 5 miles so bring your hiking shoes/boots!

5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Potluck

7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Music! Bring a chair and Rise Up Singing books if you have them. Also musical instruments! This is folk music and we take turns “round robin” in selecting a song to sing. I have one guitar player for sure, but the more instruments the better.

Please e-mail or call for directions, and let me know what food you are bringing – I’ll provide chili and a hot beverage. A friend who lives in Northfield will stay at my house while we are hiking for those who just want to come for food and music. All times are approximate except the beginning of the hike which will start at 3:30 p.m.

Estimated cost: bring food to share. Max trip size: 20.
