    ​MN Rovers and the BRTA have teamed up with Active Source training to offer Red Cross CPR/AED and Basic Wilderness First Aid Certification good for two years. Note that CPR/AED is optional, however, current certification is required for WFA attendance. CPR/AED is not offered separately, it is only offered in conjunction with WFA.

    Buckthorn Removal — Henry Park, St. Paul

    In coordination with St Paul’s Park Clean Up day, April 18, most of the

    work will be moving bundles of Buckthorn (an invasive plant which crowds
    out native species) into vehicles which will remove the Buckthorn. By
    the way, it’s not called Buck thorn because it’s cuddly, so be sure to
    bring heavy work gloves.

    Rock Climbing at Red Rock Conservation Area — ,

    I am going with a fellow climbing partner to rock climb in Redrocks,Las Vegas. We are going to climb everyday, trad multipitch climbs there. Anyone interested should be able to trad climb, and or sport climb and have gear and a partner to climb with. We are planing to stay at the campsite and cook and eat by ourselves. If you are interested but not been to Red Rocks to climb I can help out with the logistics and other relavent informaton. Anyone interested please contact via email.

    BWCA trip — Sawbill Campground, MN

    Summer Trips Camping Paddling

    We will enter the BWCA on Thu. morning and canoe camp thru Monday, which will be the return day.

    We will be paddling smaller & easily navigable lakes. You need to
    be able to paddle several hours at a time, and be able to lift and
    carry 60 - 70 Lbs over a variety of terrain (which can be quite
    challenging at times)

During the day go hiking in the park, biking along the historic Sparta/Elroy bike trail, horseback riding, birding from the viewpoint and paddling along the nearby Kickapoo River.
